1 Peter 5:8-9 (New Catholic Bible)

Remain sober and alert, for your enemy the devil is on the prowl like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Resist him and be firm in your faith, for you are well aware that your brethren throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.

The Word of God.

Satan actively works against the people of God, day and night, all the time. He constantly tempts God's people, persecutes the Church, and always works to end The Church of Christianity. The only way that he will win is if we allow him a part of our lives. That is why the Holy Spirit speaking through Saint Peter instructs us to always resist the devil and be firm in the Apostolic Faith of Christ, preserved by the Church. For us in our war with Satan, who wants to see our demise from God, we must always and constantly resist him through our Faith in Christ, our Love for God, and our active participation in the Sacramental Life of the Church, and the Life of Christ. Therefore, to all who are under attack from Satan's temptations and persecutions, pray always in the Holy Spirit, actively participate in the Sacramental Life of the Church, always believe and hope in Christ, flee sin and the near occasions of sin, and in all things imitate Christ, and let everything you do be done with Christ's Charity and Truth, so in these ways you will leave no room for Satan to lead you away from Eternal Life. And when you see one of your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ suffering this same kind of attack from the devil, you are to strengthen them in their battle against the devil and help them win over Satan by the power of God and with the Love of God. Amen.

Amen Amen 🙏. This is honestly the whole of not being overtaken by Satan, sin, and the world, because if we are firm in Christ and constantly surrender to God’s will, we will not be overcome by these temptations, but be delivered into the peace which is the Spirit of God.
